The Christmas story according to the Gospel of Luke (Chapter 2) is a narrative of the question of power.

On October 12, 2015, 9 years ago, the Hospital Shell adventure began. A year from now ago, we went through the most serious crisis, which we overcame in a good way through God’s intervention.

Last month I used the example of Caleb and Joshua being the only two scouts of the twelve with a vision for the future. The team in Shell has this vision and also the motivation, but they had to survive a difficult month – the peak of the annual rainy season.

There are people who are guided by their current fear and those who have a broader perspective. What is the difference between confidence and fear in regards to Shell Hospital?

Eckehart is now back in Germany but we have stayed in communication with the team in Ecuador. They are growing together and a spirit of joy predominates.

We praise God that the hospital is surviving financially and that there has been a lot of progress at the hospital since the new administration began 6 months ago.
